Satelligence is proud to welcome Haili Hu to the team. Haili has over 6 years experience in environmental remote sensing using satellite data to measure greenhouse gases. Before joining Satelligence, she worked at SRON, the Netherlands Institute of Space Research, where she was the leading programmer operationalising the methane algorithm for the Sentinel-5 Precursor satellite. Sentinel-5 has only recently been launched and is already a great success.
Haili graduated in Physics at the University of Nijmegen with distinction, did a PhD in Astronomy at the Universities of Nijmegen and Leuven, and a fellowship at the University of Cambridge before moving to Earth Observation.
Haili can be characterised by her drive to use her technical skills and knowledge for the benefit of society and environment; an ambition that aligns perfectly with Satelligence’s mission. At Satelligence, she is part of the engineering team where she enthusiastically contributes to the processing engine and designs algorithms that transform raw satellite data into actionable information.
